SST and Aetheron are joining forces, integrating the Hydro Wi-Fi data management platform with SST's VulcanConnect.
Safety Systems Technology, a worldwide provider of high-quality fire alarm systems, fire suppression and toxic gas detectors, recently formed an agreement with Aetheron Scientific to fully integrate ASI's Hydro Wi-Fi data management platform into SST's new product offering VulcanConnect. The resulting partnership will empower existing and new SST customers with more information and heightened control, with the ability to log and retrieve system data on site through web-based data capture and logging.
The VulcanConnect system is a networking platform that communicates with any array of plug-and-play sensors located at critical points within a client's system. The VulcanConnect system gives users the ability to transform nearly any sensor into a wireless node that can be remotely monitored with zero programming and network configuration. This means no software engineers or IT personnel are needed. A user can simply turn the system on and start collecting data without having to configure wireless network names, IP addresses, or WPA passwords. Fully compatible with water/airflow meters, pressure, temperature, conductivity and PH senors – the VulcanConnect system is versatile for any industrial setting. Able to interact with both user and SST sensors, the system also transforms legacy instrument controllers, such as a 0 – 10V or 4 – 20 mA, into wireless nodes as well.
The plug-and-play nature of the technology means real-time visualization of the operation of your system. Data is collected instantaneously, giving clients critical information they can then leverage in the decision-making process. In addition to gathering data, the system also identifies trends, spotting internal vulnerabilities that may shut down your process or threaten equipment – problems that can be addressed proactively.
