THE STATIONS

Safety Systems Models M400 and M450 Manual Stations are high quality die cast metal units designed for quick, reliable response in emergency situations. The stations are activated by grasping the handle marked “pull” and pulling it down to the locked position. This causes the normally open switch contact to close, thus transmitting the alarm condition to the fire detection system. On dual action models only, it is necessary to push in on the bar marked “push” to grasp the pull handle. The pull handle locks into the extended position when activated, and is visible from 50 feet away. The “break rod” is clearly visible when the station is set, and will shatter when the station is activated. Once activated, the key lock must be used to reset the pull rod. The key lock may also be used for testing the manual station.

When suitably installed, these stations meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
